The Free Project” is critically-acclaimed jazz artist and educator Keith Javors’ fourth release as a small group leader and his first on the newly-celebrated ArtistShare label. The Philadelphia pianist/composer joined artists such as Maria Schneider, Jim Hall, and Danilo Perez in the launch of an original project through ArtistShare in 2005 and the culmination is this imaginative 2007 release.
 

As proud supporters of Keith Javors and the ArtiShare project, Bruce and I recently

received our copy of the CD.  It's an incredible and  unique compilation of music, not to mention

one of the featured songs on this CD is a song written specifically for Brendan called "B" A Gentle Soul.  Although we've had the words to the song, we could not imagine how it would sound with

music----we can only say that it's an honorable tribute to the wonderful person Brendan was and if

you never thought of Jazz and Rap as a musical combination, you will be pleasantly surprised.
